Simply Not Good Enough

In the world of business and, increasingly, in public organizations, 99% as good as the best is simply not good enough. The winner is remembered and gets 80% of the business while the runners up share the rest.

World class performance is about having that small advantage and using it well time after time.

Not that I’m suggesting one small advantage will keep you in front for very long. Your advantage needs to be one that continually renews, expands and refreshes. No time to rest on your laurels here.

You don’t have to look far to see the result of world class performing organizations. They impact our daily lives. To pick three: Amazon, Apple and Ikea.

Is there an adult who hasn’t been touched by their products or their marketing? I wonder what age child you have to ask to find one who hasn’t desired an Amazon or Apple product?

It is my ambition to show you some ways to make your organization the next Amazon or Apple or Ikea. Let me explain why that isn’t as difficult as it sounds.

As we saw in those Olympic results, a 1% performance difference delivered a winning performance. You reap massive benefits from small improvements.

Do you have the culture, the process and the resources to pursue small improvements week in and week out? Are you using your people to produce a tidal wave of innovation?

Are you accumulating minute process improvements every day that reduce your costs and boost your performance year after year?

How much have you reduced your costs this year?

You haven’t? Then, we should talk https://bit.ly/MMLBooking
