Management is managing people not things! I know we like to label people as ‘human resources’ so it is easier to think of them as ‘units of labour’! What a shame that the Management books are wrong! But really! There are much better ways to get work done than bribery or coercion. The better way is cheaper, more efficient, more productive and more profitable.
